14th PhD Student Conference on International Macroeconomics

Amphitheatre, building Max Weber, Université Paris Nanterre

 

EconomiX-CNRS and the Doctoral School EOS (Université Paris Nanterre, France) are  organizing the 14th PhD Student Conference on International Macroeconomics. The  international scientific committee of the conference includes members from the CeReFiM  (University of Namur, Belgium), the LEMNA (University of Nantes, France), the Economics  Department of Jaume 1 University (Castellon, Spain), the Economics Department of Applied  Economics II (Valencia, Spain) and the School of Economics of the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom). The conference will be held on Friday May 16th, 2025 in Nanterre, France,  in the surrounding of Paris. 

Important dates and submission procedure: 

Submission deadline: February 21th, 2025 

Acceptance decision: End of March 2025 

Registration: Beginning of April 2025 

Conference: May 16th, 2025 

Submission of papers is open until February 21th, 2025. Papers must necessarily include the  author's and co-authors names and institutional affiliations, together with e-mail addresses for  correspondence. 

The program will include several sessions covering the main areas of International  macroeconomics. Anyone wishing to present a paper needs to submit it to a specific session.  

Priority will be given to papers with original contributions and empirical applications that  address a relevant economic question within the aforementioned topics. All papers will be  discussed by two different discussants. 

Please submit a full paper in English at the conference webpage:

International macroeconomics: 

Exchange rates and international monetary system;  

Monetary policy and inflation risk; 

Vulnerabilities and dependencies in supply chains, trade economics; Climate economics and energy transition, sustainable finance; Economic growth, international business cycles, inequalities;  Financial stability, banking economics, crypto-currencies;  Macro-based behavioral economics; 

International macroeconomics: other topics.
