Carine Nourry" thesis prize - Call for entries

This thesis prize is in honor of our colleague and friend Carine Nourry, Professor at Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) and Director of the AMSE School (Aix-Marseille School of Economics), who tragically passed away on June 7, 2019. Carine Nourry, winner of the agrégation des Universités competitive examination in 2003, was appointed Professor at Aix-Marseille 2. A researcher at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE), Carine Nourry was a specialist in the theory of growth and fluctuations. In 2014, she agreed to lead, develop and direct the Aix-Marseille School of Economics project, a project in which she invested herself with strength, talent and generosity. Recognized for her scientific and intellectual qualities by researchers, lecturers and students, she was also appreciated for her human qualities, empathy and benevolence.

The "Carine Nourry" Dissertation Prize enables the AMSE laboratory to reward and promote the quality of research carried out by a doctor of economics who completed his/her dissertation no more than eight years ago and is currently working at a French-speaking university. Candidates will be evaluated on the scientific quality of their best research article, either included in their thesis or written after their doctorate. The award is judged on the basis of a research article published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal no more than eight years after the year in which it was defended.

The amount of the "Carine Nourry" thesis prize is €3,000 (three thousand) for the author who submitted the winning article. The author will be offered the opportunity to organize an invited session at next year's Louis-André Gérard-Varet (LAGV) conference on the themes of the winning article, in partnership with an AMSE member.

Candidates will be notified of the results on March 31, with the award ceremony taking place on May 26, 2025.
