Because of its growing impact on society, global warming has taken center stage in the public debate. While the majority of citizens have not read the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), heat waves, intensifying storms and the multiplication of extreme events are reminding them of the scale of climate disruption and the urgency of action.
