AFSE was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Gilbert ABRAHAM-FROIS on April 4, 2024. A renowned economist specializing in macroeconomics, his numerous works have accompanied generations of students throughout their studies. Professor at the University of Paris Nanterre, he chaired the AFSE in 1999-2000 and was editor-in-chief of the Revue d'économie politique.
His death leaves a huge void in the community of economists and beyond. AFSE associates itself with the grief of his wife, family and friends.
