The French Association of Population Economists (Association Française des Économistes de la Population - AFÉPOP) was founded in September 2023. Its objective is to federate and promote a dynamic French network of researchers in population economics. AFÉPOP organizes events that bring together scholars to favor collaborative work in the field.
The AFÉPOP 2025 Conference will be held from Thursday 15 to Friday 16 May 2025, at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE).
- The keynote speaker will be Pauline GROSJEAN, Professor of Economics, UNSW.
- A policy panel (in French and open to the public) is also planned. More details will be announced soon.
- Thematic parallel sessions with discussants.
We welcome contributions from all areas of population economics, including gender, household economics, marriage/divorce, fertility, family, childhood, education, labor, aging, retirement, disability, long-term care, mortality, health, socioeconomic inequality, intergenerational inequality, development, migration, discrimination, well-being, housing, taxation, economic history, policy evaluation, and more.
