Dates of French economic recessions selected by AFSE's Comité de Datation des Cycles de l'Economie Française
Note:
The date t of the peak corresponds to the end of the expansion period (i.e. the recession begins in t+1).
The date t of the trough corresponds to the end of the recession period (i.e. expansion begins in t+1).
By convention, the dates of the last cycle are considered provisional.

The shaded periods on the graph correspond to periods of recession in the French economy identified by AFSE's Comité de Datation des Cycles de l'Economie Française .GDP is expressed in billions of constant euros (quarterly GDP in volume at previous year's prices, chained, source: Insee).
